We are thrilled to have Justin Howl back with us to round out our summer music.

Justin Howl is an internationally touring blues and roots singer, songwriter, guitarist, and harmonica player based in Chicago, Illinois. Known for blending raw emotion with intelligent songwriting, he has built a reputation for delivering authentic, rootsy music that fuses blues, Americana, and folk influences.

Howl’s work is praised for its organic quality, soulful vocals, and energetic instrumentation. Blues Blast Magazine called him a “strong singer” whose tunes “will strike a chord with you… and are intelligent throughout.” His debut album, Justin Howl and the Salty Dogs (2016), showcased his skills as a multi-instrumentalist and producer, while his 2020 solo acoustic project Wanderlust was lauded by Music Connection as “wonderfully weird… cool and vibey… topped off by Howl’s warm and rangy vocal presence” Living Blues described his sound as “blues with an organic quality… to reward us with sonic purity,” and Americana Highways noted his “authentic rootsy songs” driven by harmonica and guitar
