Live Music - Richard Tillinghast

Richard is a Louisiana-born, South Carolina-raised singer-songwriter whose music blends poetry, storytelling, offbeat humor, and a lifetime of adventure. After college, he spent seven years hitchhiking and motorcycling through Europe, Africa, and the U.S., experiences that continue to shape his distinctive songwriting. Since moving to Washington in 1999, Richard has become a familiar performer throughout the Columbia River Gorge, while also appearing on nationally syndicated radio, in films and documentaries, and at festivals across the country. Since 2005, he has performed alongside classically trained cellist Tova Cochrane, his longtime musical partner and wife, creating a beautifully unexpected blend of guitar, banjo, vocals, and cello.
